With no formal qualifications or experience in road safety Grant Dorrington has nevertheless occupied the position of Independent Chairman of the Office of Road Safety in Western Australia (WA).
Whilst it is difficult to blame one individual for the increasingly dangerous road conditions for 2 wheelers in WA, Grant Dorrington is held to be responsible by many for his constant portrayal of motorcyclists as the "bad guy" and his promotion of speed as the main cause of road accidents despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary from Australia and around the world.
Many see Mr Dorrington as nothing more than a shameless promoter of speed related revenue raising schemes without the appropriate experience to make a positive contribution to road safety in WA.
